Friday started with a morning workout with Ryan and today he brought with him a new
torture device piece of exercise equipment…
It was a tough workout, lots of legs and core today; something told me my abs were going to be feeling this! I sure huffed and puffed a lot! However, I keep telling myself patience, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and I didn’t get so out of shape in a day…
Breakfast: Mushroom & Turkey Sausage Egg Bake with Fresh Pineapple
I really enjoy the egg bakes; each day that I have had them they have tasted a little different. Today’s with the mixture of mushroom and the tangy turkey sausage was a delightful blend. And the pineapple added that small bit of sweetness.
Lunch: Grilled Steak Salad with Romaine Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion & Horseradish Dressing
The grilled streak was fork tender and a great addition to the salad which was completed with the zesty horseradish dressing.
Dinner: Fillet of Halibut with Spicy Orange Sauce with Nine Grain Pilaf and Roasted Cauliflower
The halibut had a mild taste so the added spicy orange sauce was an amazing mixture of soft and mild with a bit of kick. I don’t believe I have ever had nine grain pilaf before which had a bit of a nutty taste, and the roasted cauliflower was delicious to complete the meal.
Snack: Mushroom Crowns Stuffed with Sautéed Garlic Beef with Tomato Sauce
I am amazed how 2 mushroom crowns stuffed with sautéed beef were so satisfying! The sautéed beef was quite tangy.
Dessert: Chocolate Pudding Topped with Toasted Almonds
Who doesn’t love a little chocolate every now and then? So I was pleasantly surprised with the creamy blend of chocolate pudding and toasted almonds. It was another great way to end the day.
