Whimsical Halloween

I have to say the older I get the more I like decorating for every “holiday” and somehow Halloween has gone from a night of gathering candy to a night of whimsical decorating for me.

There are so many nifty places to pick up Halloween decorations like Pottery Barn which is always a “go to” place for fun things but I have to say I think the crafters from ETSY take the “cake” or should I say “candy” this year? Check out these adorable finds….

From the wise words of Buddy the Elf “We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup“…

PS, This would be the “only time” I think spiders and bats are cute lol…

What are you favorite Halloween decorations?

It’s funny, living in California, I don’t think we decorate as much. I remember going to Michigan a few years ago over Halloween and I was shocked to see every-ones yard decor.
Now I notice it a little more. I still don’t really decorate, but I like fall wreaths.

  2. I have never much enjoyed Halloween. But this whimsical presentation of an otherwise, to me, dark holiday is refreshing!

Here in South Africa, as with most holidays, there is very little fanfare, whimsical or otherwise.

I decorate outside for Halloween and inside the entryway door area. I dress up in costume every year and every year it’s a different one. My little 6 year old girl likes to dress up too. Here in Nova Scotia we can’t count on the weather being agreeable even tho the last few years it’s been very agreeable. Happy Halloween everyone!!! from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Oh Shelley I’m not sure whether to thank you or curse you as I attempt to resist the urge to spend the next hour playing on etsy! Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I too love what Pottery Barn has to offer. I’ve also found some good stuff at Target, especially for the price. Thanks for sharing, I’m walking away from my computer now . . .
